An algorithmic visualization of butterfly and moth wing microstructure, rendered in real-time with Three.js. ~4,500 individually modeled scales oscillate in a standing wave, with structural coloration and iridescence modeled through custom GLSL shaders.

I reverse-engineer painters' compositional logic into parametric 3D code. Hopper's windows are the subject: a frame within a frame, with depth rendered as emotional distance.

Klint Kandinsky
Inspired by the pioneering works of Wassily Kandinsky and Hilma af Klint, this project uses p5.js to dynamically generate artwork that captures the essence of abstract painting with a contemporary twist. In the animation, colorful shapes appear to populate a 2D plane, but the point of view rotates to reveal that the shapes have variable depth and occupy 3D space.
